Undersea Defence Technology (UDT) is the largest global event dedicated to the undersea defence industry. As a multi-faceted exhibition and conference, the event reflects the community’s desire for continuous learning and development.

Besides Aeromaritime Systembau, there were numerous international exhibitors from the defense industry. Notably, in the field of underwater technology (underwater defense/security, submarine technology, submarine hunting, sonar systems, mine hunting, underwater communication, underwater reconnaissance, UAVs (unmanned autonomous vehicles) and numerous suppliers attended.

At the Aeromartime booth we displayed our APCOS 4000 (Advanced Platform Communication System), RFDU (Radio Frequency Distribution Unit) and the AT-4125 (antenna model) as well as our radome. Our devices attracted a lot of attention, thus, we gladly welcomed plenty of visitors at our stand with interesting questions, leading to many informative conversations and exchanges of ideas.

A conference was held in parallel to the exhibition with contributions on the subject of military underwater technology. The scientific contributions were mainly in regard of research and pre-development. During the conference Aeromaritime speakers, Dr. Gunter Freitag and Amit Biswas shared their research and insights of “Antenna Integration Challenge onto Submarine Platforms”.

The lecture was very well attended and afterwards among others, a question was raised on how Aeromaritime will improve the antenna development with support of artificial intelligence. This is a very exciting topic and is becoming increasingly important, not only in our field of business but likewise in the navel industry
